The goal of the Architectural Manager is to ensure Schluter Systems products are specified and sold in commercial construction projects. In this role the representative will provide education, and solutions for architects, designers, developers, general contractors and mechanical engineers in the commercial segment.
Provide education and training to architects, designers, developers, and general contractors on all Schluter products and services.
Give architectural and product education meetings – CEU’s and product specific presentations.
Host education workshops to educate customers on Schluter products and build deeper relationships with customers.
Assisting architects and interior designers in generating specifications and with the goal of writing Schluter into their master specifications and project documents.
Work closely with national account managers to build relationships that allow us to increase sales and forecast market trends or potential issues that may arise.
Develop a strategic plan to increase relationships and sales with customers and key accounts.
Manage assigned territory by giving regular product presentations, customer support, library updates, and specification reviews.
Collaborate with the Schluter commercial manager and distribution team to generate, track, and fulfill large projects from specification through installation as well as develop a commercial strategy for the region.
Collaboration with Distributor A&D partners on product education meetings and events.
Attend Commercial and Architectural trade shows to increase relationships with architects, interior designers, national accounts, developers and industry partners.
When necessary, visit jobsites for pre installation and post installation education to ensure installers and architects achieve the desired finished product.
Network with industry partners, associations and committees to further relationships with customers while promoting Schluter Systems products.
Keep the Regional Architectural Manager updated on a regular basis.
Outside sales or Architectural experience with tile installation materials or other technical sales.
Familiarity with company products, territories, markets, and clients.
Strong oral, written and presentation skills.

Proven problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Ability to attend and actively participate in national, regional, and team meetings with overnight stays.
Ability to travel daily up to 80 percent of the time meeting customers and using the remaining time for planning, preparation, and training.
Ability to drive a Company vehicle and pass a driving record background check (including moving violations, accidents, license suspensions, etc.) to be insurable with the Company’s insurer without surcharges or other additional charges. Company-owned vehicles may only be operated by authorized employees and for business purposes only.
Any driver of a Company-owned vehicle shall, all times, hold and maintain state driving privileges in the driver’s state of residence without restrictions, unless such restrictions are approved by the Company in its sole discretion.
Willingness to comply with all Company policies and procedures at all times.
